How To Create Your Own Blog Using Odoo 14

A blog is indeed an essential feature of Odoo. Utilizing the CMS framework of Odoo ensures and provides the user with a very powerful user interface. Odoo blogs allow a company to use these tools for their products' proper technical or functional features and provide an engagement forum. It also facilitates the exchange of news and other media records, as well as digital briefings on a company's goods and services. Since blog posts can be easily shared on other platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, and other social media, it serves as a tool for multi-media interaction. In the Odoo backend, Odoo allows for the management of blog posts. The Odoo CMS editor helps a web developer to do so. In order to position the content and use snippets, a user would only have to use the drag and drop facility. A selection of snippets is also provided by Odoo CMS. Create

You can find the Blog menu in the image provided above. Just by clicking on the create button that is placed here, a user can create a blog.

We can provide the information of an article, blog title, subtitles, tags, and address of the website in this form. Publishing options can also be provided here, such as author information, publishing date, last contributor name, and last updated details.

This feature allows the user to complete all of the blogs' backend work from the website as well. A user would have to navigate to the website to complete the blog creation and to publish it. You can do this by clicking on the 'Go to Website Icon' button, which is noticeable in red.

To switch on to the website, use the Website button.

Publishing 

Here, an unpublished button on the top can be found by the user.

Click the button and the blog is published.

Would you like to make modifications to your blog? To aid you, the edit button is there.

The user will get a window when clicking this, as provided below, where you can make the required adjustments.

It will appear like this when the blog is finished.

All blogs created will fall under the website's Blogs menu. These articles can easily be read by the public and blogs can be posted on other sites.

Although only the admin can access unpublished blogs, all published blogs can be accessed by all website users and visitors.

Customize

By using the customization function available on the website, a user can easily make a blog more interactive and responsive.

Author Icon, Activate blog post to comment, and other options can be activated by the user to make it more interactive.

Using the icons on the right-hand side, the viewer or user can post them on social media. In the form of a bar at the bottom, viewers can also benefit from the reading next support feature.

 A viewer can also add and write down comments once the comment option is activated by the user.

To increase the popularity of the blog posts, the blogs may also use the SEO Optimizing tool. A user should add keywords or links to get this page indexed in Google, which can be of great help. Go to Website> Promote> Optimize SEO, to do this.

When you press Optimize, a window will open, as shown below. This will assist to include keywords and provide descriptions that can be shown in the search engine Google. The user can see a preview from here.
