Restocking from Warehouse Using Odoo 15 Inventory

A warehouse is a facility used by a firm for managing goods storage. The products kept by a business are moved from one warehouse to another. Having multiple warehouses helps businesses succeed and turn a profit. The majority of commercial endeavors store their products and components in warehouses. Using the Odoo 15 Inventory module makes managing the warehouse and goods simple. With the use of Odoo ERP, replenishing or supplying raw materials is simple.

With the help of Odoo 15 Inventory, this blog makes sure you can replenish raw materials from a warehouse.

When a warehouse becomes low on supplies, users can swiftly replenish it. The inventory module in Odoo 15 helps with this process by managing the routes and locations of the products. Let's examine how to replenish products from a company's warehouses using Odoo 15.

How can I activate warehouse routes for product replenishment?

For users to replenish inventory from a warehouse, multiple-step routes must be activated. Activate the Multi-Step Routes option in the Warehouse section by selecting the Settings menu, which is located beneath the Configuration tab, as seen in the screenshot below.

By selecting the Multi-Step Routes option from the Settings box, we can use the routes. To use the Odoo 15 Inventory module feature, click the SAVE icon. Let's now create numerous warehouses for a business. In the Configuration tab, select the Warehouses menu, then click the CREATE symbol as seen in the screenshot below.

In the Warehouse field, enter "My Company 1," and in the new window, provide the Short Name used to identify your warehouse. Select your Address later as seen in the screenshot below.

After adding the warehouse information, click the SAVE button. You can create a second warehouse called "My Company 2" in the same way. As seen in the example below, the Warehouses pane contains a list of every warehouse your business has ever constructed.

My Company 1 is a company's primary warehouse, and My Company 2 is its secondary one. These are a company's two warehouses.

To Resupply Products in Odoo 15 from One Warehouse to Another

Think about a scenario where "My Company 2," the second warehouse, runs out of raw materials. Therefore, we must replenish the secondary storage with goods from the original one. Consequently, from My Company 1 to My Company 2. Users must enable specific functionalities in My Company 2 to achieve this. From the Warehouses window, pick the My Company 2 warehouse.

The Resupply section of the Warehouse Configuration tab contains a number of settings. For making products at your warehouse, turn on the Manufacture to Resupply option. Enabling the Manufacture to Resupply option causes a Manufacture field to appear before you. There are three different methods of manufacturing: manufacturing in one step, picking components, manufacturing and then storing items in three processes, and picking components before manufacturing (2 steps). As seen in the screenshot below, you can select the production procedure that is necessary.

Enabling the Buy to Supply option causes products to be shipped to your warehouse after they have been purchased. From the Resupply From option, you may choose where to obtain new supplies of raw materials. We chose My Company 1 and said, "Pick up your replenishment warehouse from here," as shown in the screenshot below.

After making these modifications, click the SAVE icon. We can now create routes for your particular warehouse.

How do I set an Odoo 15 route for resupply goods?

Users must designate a channel inside an organization for replenishing products. In Odoo 15, the operation tracks for product inventory movement are routes. Under the Warehouse Management section of the Configuration tab, select the Routes option. Here, you can see all previously made route lists. To create a new route, click the CREATE symbol as seen in the screenshot below.

According to the screenshot above, the corresponding route was made from this My Company 2 warehouse. In the Routes pane, click My Company 2: Supply Product from My Company 1. On the new screen's Rules section, you can view various routes.

By selecting Add a line in the Rules window as seen in the above screenshot, you may add a new rule. Inside each rule, we can see the Source Location and Destination Location. You can view data such as the Supply Method, Action, Source Location, Operation Type, and Destination Location by selecting a particular rule, as shown in the screenshot below.

The Warehouse, Sequence, and Company data are visible in the Rules window underneath the Applicability section, as shown in the screenshot below.

Create a sales order for a product so you can replenish your stock.

Make a sales order by returning to the Odoo 15 Sales module. Before generating a Sales Order, users must enable routes for a certain product. Picking the Conference Chair from the Products menu, as shown in the screenshot below, is a good choice.

The user must turn on the routes for your product in the Products window. To examine the Routes field in the Operations section, select the Inventory tab. Activate the routes My Company 2: Supply Products from My Company 1 and Buy, Replenish on Order (MTO), as indicated in the screenshot below.

Let's navigate to the Sales Orders pane after storing the information. To create a new Sales Order, pick the CREATE icon from the Orders menu located beneath the Orders tab.

When you choose your customer in the Sales Order box, additional information—including the invoice address, quotation template, and delivery address—becomes automatically visible to you, as shown in the screenshot below.

To choose your product, click the Add a line button below the Order Lines menu. As seen in the screenshot below, we choose Conference Chair in this case.
