Default Odoo Manufacturing Process

In the fast-moving world of manufacturing, customization is key. At ERP Cloud, we understand the unique challenges our clients face, particularly when it comes to packaging specific quantities of items. To address this issue, we have developed a tailored solution that optimizes the manufacturing process by splitting orders according to the desired packaging quantity. This is a feature not found in the default Odoo manufacturing system, and we’re excited to share how our customization sets us apart.

Odoo’s standard manufacturing module lacks the flexibility to split orders based on specific packaging requirements. This can lead to inefficiencies and challenges in meeting customer demands for customized packaging.

  1. Creation of Manufacturing Orders (MOs): In Odoo, a manufacturing order is created for each production run, detailing the components needed and the finished product to be produced.
  2. Bill of Materials (BoM): The BoM specifies the quantities of raw materials required to produce a certain number of finished goods.
  3. Production Planning: The system plans the production based on available resources and timelines.
  4. Execution and Tracking: Once production begins, Odoo tracks the progress and updates inventory levels accordingly.

Default setup operates under a one-size-fits-all approach, which can be limiting for businesses with specific packaging requirements.

At ERP Cloud, we’ve developed an innovative solution to bridge this gap. Our customized feature allows businesses to split manufacturing orders based on the required packaging quantities, ensuring precision and efficiency
