Odoo 15 Automatic Invoicing
Accounting is a difficult task for any enterprise, major corporation, or small business. A company's failure is caused by a lack of proper accounting. As a result, an organization's financial management is crucial.
Dealing with the accounting aspect, on the other hand, is difficult
because it entails various debits, credits, expenses, and so on.
Odoo makes keeping track of our company's finances a lot easier. Odoo 15 accounting is a comprehensive solution for our accounting needs. This is linked to a couple more modules that will help us run the process properly without disrupting the flow. Customer invoicing is critical during a sale. We must create an invoice when we sell a product to a customer. A client invoice is just a bill sent to the customer informing them of the things they have purchased, as well as the quantity and price. As a result, the consumer understands how much money they wish to pay the company based on an invoice.
There are two invoicing policies in Odoo. The first is to make an invoice for the ordered quantity, and the second is to create an invoice for the delivered amount. The first is to create an invoice for your inventory-based products automatically. In the second scenario, an invoice is only generated once the goods have been dispatched from inventory. If we like a product, we will place an order and pay for it online in some cases, such as online shopping. As a result, in such circumstances, we must generate an automatic invoice in the company.
As a result, Odoo 15 introduced the Automatic Invoice feature, which generates an automatic invoice when a sales quotation is issued and paid through the client portal, converting the sales quotation into a sale order.
Select the Sales module for this. And then click to Settings > Configuration > Enable Automatic Invoicing. The Invoicing Policy must be for Ordered Quantity, and the modifications must be saved after they are enabled.
Create a Customer Sales Quotation, then go to Orders and pick Quotation from the drop-down menu. All of the previously prepared sales quotations are visible. By clicking the Create button, we can make a new one.
Here, a fresh quotation is being created for a Demo Customer. The things they bought are included in the product line.
Ascertain that all invoicing procedures for sold products are based on the quantity requested, also known as Ordered Quantity. After that, the quotation will be stored.
This quotation can be emailed to our client from this page. By selecting the Send By Email option, the quotation is emailed to the customer. The customer's email address appears in a new window. If you wish to send an email, click the Send button; if you don't, click the Cancel button. The Recipients may be our customers, and the email text could be seen.
The stage was altered from quotation to quotation as a result of this. After sending an email, this message was sent. Then there's the Customer Preview smart tab, which we may use to see a perspective from the customer portal.
A customer can sign on the quotation from the customer portal and make payment. There's also an option for him to send his feedback to the company, as well as the option to reject the quotation.
When you click the sign and pay button, a new window opens. The customer's signature can then be added. There are three methods for adding customer signatures: sketch, auto, and load.
We can generate a customer signature by selecting the option draw. To have your signature added automatically, use the auto option. We may also upload signatures from our file by selecting the load option; after inserting the sign, click Accept & Sign.
Then a new payment window emerges. We can then select our Payment Acquirers, which will automatically generate an invoice with the card's details, including the secret code, filled in.
Check the box to save my payment information if we need to save the current payment data. Click the "Pay Now" button once you've finished entering all of your information.
After that, the transaction went through without a hitch. From there, we can see the notification stating that the payment was effective, as well as the customer's signature.
Then we get back to our quotation. As can be seen, the quotation has gone from the quotation sent to the selling order. Two new smart tabs have been created. The first is for delivery, while the second is for billing.
The quotation is converted to a sale order and an invoice is issued automatically after a customer makes a payment through the portal.
Now, in the smart tab, open the invoice. We can see the invoice that was created and that it is currently in the In Payment stage.
Great stories have a personality. Consider telling a great story that provides personality. Writing a story with personality for potential clients will assist with making a relationship connection. This shows up in small quirks like word choices or phrases. Write from your point of view, not from someone else's experience.
Great stories are for everyone even when only written for just one person. If you try to write with a wide, general audience in mind, your story will sound fake and lack emotion. No one will be interested. Write for one person. If it’s genuine for the one, it’s genuine for the rest.
We've talked about Odoo's Automatic Invoicing tool, as well as how to produce and use it.
